  • The principles in this book seem very sound and the approach to sleep is logical. I like the compromise between leaving the baby to cry and running immediately to fulfill her every need. The author brought up many new things for me to think about- many things connected to baby's sleep that I hadn't thought of before. I will read it again about the time baby comes- more slowly this time and then see how the method works!

  • I may be being unfair giving this book a 3 star rating, essentially because there is little advice for bed sharers and a focus on baby in own bed in own room, which isn't the way I want my baby to sleep. however, what I would say is this is very easy to read and take bits of advice from. I finally understand the point of putting baby down drowsy but awake, even if I'm not yet ready to try the ideas in this book.

  • I should have read this months ago but didn't have the time. This book has given me the answers to questions that I've had for months. Our 9 month old doesn't sleep thorough the night, at all, but this book gave me a few reasons why that may be. I'd recommend it for new parents.
