  • Black Diamond (Ja'Nese Dixon)Romantic/Suspense Novel. Camille Blackwell is an FBI agent posing as a jewelery purchaser, working for a diamond trading company. Ashanta is a coworker within the company. Marc Fulton is a CIA agent called into this case to investigate rebel organizations within the trade.Soon Camille finds herself deep into a dangerous mission, when she receives a letter and encrypted memory stick from Ahsanta, who turns up missing. With the help of Marc Fulton, the only one who can [...]

  • I was sent this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. The novel is the romantic and suspenseful tale of an undercover agent gathering intelligence on the diamond industry. The premise and characters in this book are very intriguing. I enjoy books in which African American characters are in professional roles and not living in the “hood”. There are few grammatical errors in the book but the errors do not distract from reading the book. This is a very easy read and would be a go [...]

  • I enjoyed this book so much. I truly got all wrapped up in the information about black diamonds. Although it was informative, it was very mysterious and such a clift-hanger of those that you can't put down because you're wondering what's going to happen next. Thanks Ja'Nese Dixon for such an awesome read!

  • Black Diamond by Ja’Nese Dixon is a contemporary suspenseful romance that brings readers two central characters who are both internally struggling with their careers and their love lives. Camille Blackwell is smart, beautiful, strong and determined—she’s also an undercover FBI agent. She has lost lovers and friends to putting her career first. Camille has struggled to achieve the success she’s had in the white, male-dominated field and doesn’t want to compromise her hard work for roman [...]

  • This is a suspenseful and romantic tale of an undercover agent who is gathering intelligence information on a diamond industry. The whole idea of the book and the characters are very intriguing. I love books that show us black people in professional jobs and good living conditions and not always living in the hood and being drug dealers or the like. The book does have some grammar mistakes but they are not so bad that it distracts from the book. This was a very quick and easy read and I would de [...]

  • Just when you think its simple and see it notWith each page turn I was sucked deeper into the web. JaNese Dixon weaves twists and turns keeping me completely engaged. As an avid lover of mystery and thrillers I love having the unexpected and she got me good. Black Diamond didn't disappoint.

  • From flirting to fightingThis story had plenty of intrigue, suspense, unlikely relationships, and betrayal to go around. Camille and Marc went from flirting to fighting for their lives. This story was well written and had good characters with excellent development. I'm looking forward to reading this series.

  • Good storyGreat story but I feel the ending was rushed. The epilogue was somewhat helpful. The main characters, Camille and Marc were a great couple. Their attraction to each other leaps from the pages. Ashanta was a secondary character, but definitely relevant to the story. An in-depth look at how she was faring should have been included.

  • What an amazing story, impossible to put it down. Camille is an undercover agent, posing as someone buying jewellery. Wonderful suspense to keep you intrigued. Received an ARC and definitely ready for the next

  • Continuing with book 1. Right into the fire and the suspense and action move at a steady pace. Well written and story and plot include some romance. What is not to like?

  • Ja'Nese Dixon's debut book is a romantic suspense and even saw it to be as a legal thriller. Camille takes us on a wild-goose chase to unlock the secrets and illegal acts, even murder, when taking on the case on international diamond trading. Ja'Nese pace can be slow in the beginning to be connected to the characters, breath-taking in the middle to end of the book, but you definitely want to finish until the very last sentence on the page. She keeps you intrigued to the very last part of the sto [...]
