  • Couldnt put it down, it was a great read. The love Beau has for Geogie is sweet. And the tragic love Between Ida and Beau's father is bittersweet.

  • Another one by Shara Azod. This one had me on an emotional roller coaster! Set in the times when interracial couples were not allowed to be together or marry because it was against US law. Boy I still struggle to believe that men in this world made it against the law to fall in love and marry someone due to the colour of their skin!!! Georgia and Beau's story affected me on several levels. Great read! Would recommend this story!

  • This book was so good it made me cry. At first I did not want to read because I thought that there was no way it could be a positive story because of the dates and times . This book was really a beautiful story about love in impossible times. Shara Azod has become one of my favorite authors waiting for the next installment of this story i know it will be just as good.

  • I love her books, look forward to everything that she writes. You can tell she does her research on each one of her books and subjects, and there is never a dull moment

  • Wow. This is a love story back in the 1930s. Interracial was beyond taboo - it was just unacceptable. But the heart wants what the heart wants and you can't help who you fall in love with. Even his father, Bradford, went through the same circumstance. Although Bradford didn't fight hard enough for the love of his life, Ida, their love was so strong she physically felt him and collapsed when he had his heart attack.Beau, my hero. Even in this time era he was looking for ways to make Georgie his. [...]

  • This rating would actually be like a 3.85 and close to a 4. I actually did really enjoy this story and the overall concept of the book. The story takes place in the 1930's and is about a young couple who live in segregated Georgia. I thought that the love that Beau had for the heroine was so sweet. And his dedication to her and to creating a life with her were extremely admirable. Without giving the plot away I will sayat many people wouldn't have sacrificed as much as Beau did to be with the wo [...]

  • I enjoyed this book. Yes, there are numerous typos and formatting and grammar issues; and perhaps the writing could be stronger in places; and there were a couple of things I didn’t like about the plotting; but over all I found the story and the telling of it so strong that these problems didn’t spoil my enjoyment of this ravishing tale of ‘forbidden’ love.I was drawn in by the strongly depicted, engaging characters. I liked the pacey narrative, and a strong sense of time and place was e [...]

  • Anything for LoveThe story of Beau and Georgie had me from the first sentence! Beautiful written, it takes place in South Georgia in 1930s. Two people find love but it is at a time when interracial marriage is not legal. Beau tries to find a way to make things right and not end up in a loveless marriage like his father or make Georgie his other mistress. He yearns to make things right but before he can do that, he goes to fight a war that isn't his leaving Georgie alone and pregnant. After that [...]

  • So good! Another winner for Ms.Azod. I really love her writtng and she has a become a must automatic buy when I see anything she's written that I don't already have. The only thing that baffles me is for an author SO talented, why does she feel the need to stoop to flights of ridiculous-ness with some of her cohorts who aren't nearly as talented as she is. While those short erotic novellas are fun, they detract from the great storyteller that she is. Which is why reading Georgie's Beau so refres [...]

  • Sweet, romantic, emotional, sexy can't ask for anything more! And then the setting is in the beautiful South, which provides a rich backdrop for the tormented lovers. I've always enjoyed Shara Azod's work mostly because of the settings of her stories; I think a memorable setting is key for a story to be moving and engaging, just as the characters are. And I always enjoy a love story where the love between two people is severely put the test and overcomes all odds.

  • If it wasn't for the uneven spots in this book, I would have given it a 5. However, Shara Azod's storyline and character development was decent. I just think that it could have been better. If you can buy this one at a discount via lulu, , or another outlet, it's worth the time and money

  • Not at all what I was expectingThis book was freaking awesome! More detailed review later but this was just fantastic! Beau would have been James MarsdenGeorgie would have been Tika sumpter

  • It was an ok read. It was kind of short and I wasn't a big fan of the way she transitioned from one point in time to the next. But the story was entertaining and the characters were not bad.

  • I enjoyed reading this story but I wished there were more conversations btw the characters. But overall very interesting story.

  • Editing issues aside, this is just GOOD. Beau's love for Georgie is just enviable. It's the kind of love a girl wants.
