  • Very fast paced, this short story focuses on the influence of social media and the darkness of human nature.

  • Modernized Horror Masterpiece! This book was written exceptionally well. If you are looking for a Fast paced “No Bullshit” kind of book look no further. The Author jumps straight in to the plot and keeps you on the edge to the end. R.L.Weeks blends humanity’s social corruptions and modern day technology to captivate her readers and to form her character’s. Her literary details will leave you speechless and wanting for more. Great ability to paint pictures in your mind from words (whether [...]

  • A bunch of different people who all want revenge. On somebody or people who have hurt them. Decide to set up a fake twitter account and go on a murder spree. A scary thing that could happen in real life.

  • In 13 pages #yourenext conveys what any good horror movie does: by the time you realize what's happening, it's too late. For those involved in every page It was too late.Weeks was able to convey the terror and the twisted minds of those that were within the pages. The story twisted around, spiraled and left a flurry of panic in my mind. The book had a pre- The Purge feel to it actually. Why? Honestly, maybe it's the way the Twitter killings spread, leaving no one safe and crime at an all time hi [...]

  • I am very torn on what star rating to give #Yourenext. This short horror started out fantastic! I mean, the gore, blood and death are introduced pretty quickly and it's everything you'd want in a horror book. But then it just kind of fell off for me. There was 1 horror scene, and it was good, it was really good. I kept waiting for more of the same but instead I got "Headlines." I struggled with a 3.5-4 rating. I think it has a lot of potential, it just didn't finish for me.This book is not for t [...]

  • #EPICHair-raising, toe-curling and spine-tingling…… and so realistic. The author did an awesome job on this short story and I will be reading more of her work. She knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat, not wanting to stop until you've read it all. She has become one of my favorite, so buy it and be amazed!

  • #RealLife = #TrulyScary RL Weeks has done it again & in a very short period of time. She is quickly becoming 1 of my Fav authors.I am not going to say too much about the story itself because MY REVIEWS ARE SPOILER FREE & with a short story i can't get into much without giving everything away. But I will tell you that this is the stuff true horror is made of, nightmares could easily come creeping into your mind as you sleep after this read. This is absolutely something that COULD ACTUALLY [...]

  • #Yourenext is written by an authoress who understands that humanity makes the best monsters, the same as King, Barker, Lovecraft and Shelly. It's a tale told of the modern world, indeed about that most modern and defining aspect of the modern world the internet. If anything defines and reveals the depravities that the humanity around us is capable of, its all those little ones and zeros bouncing around the WiFi. Spend ten minutes reading the bottom half of the internet, you know the comments, an [...]

  • *I received this book in exchange of an honest review*Sensitive souls be warned!!!! This short story is not for the faint of heart!!!!Disturbingly very creative, this little horror story is actually very socio-psychological!!!! It exposes how crucial social laws, decorum and etiquette are to a human community, but also how cruel and deranged the mind can be or become!!! Based on the power of internet and the human dark side, it does raise a lot of existential questions after reading it!!!! lf fo [...]

  • This is a scary realisation of what could happen in real life. I loved this story and would highly recommend as a must read of R L Weeks.

  • #YOURENEXT by RL Weeks### 4 Twisted Corkscrew Hashtags ###I really enjoyed this short, very different and intriguing read. This book is full of suspense, twists and plenty of seriously gory moments. I not going to give any spoilers away as it's such a 'short' read, personally I would have liked this to be a longer book and therefore a better connection with the characters. Having said that, this was still a gripping read that had me captivated right til the very end and it had to be read in one [...]

  • Can I first of all apologise if I misled anyone with my previous rating. During a fight with my phone it decided to be silly and ignored my input. #you're next is one of those stories that are so realistic and plausible, it makes the hair on the back if your neck stand up with all the what ifs. I'm one of those people who usually can see where a story is going and I can honestly say, it surprised me in all the right ways. I wished this story was longer, as I thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters [...]

  • Is a intriguing, interesting, read. I was hooked from the first chapter, I needed to know what would happen in this gripping short story. Sadly though it feels like we are not too far off from something like this actually happening. There is so much hate in the world today, hiding behind the Internet only makes it worse, as R.L. Weeks gives us a glimpse of what could happen if you sit behind a computer, catfish someone, bully them and so on. The sad fact is in real life you would never even cons [...]

  • You're Next is a modern day horror tale using social media and one of the ways it can go horribly wrong. This book had cringe worthy gore, twists, and it makes the reader think about what could happen when people use social media for evil. The heck with bullying, this is MUCH worse. I do recommend you buy this book, and check out other books by this author. She has an even shorter story that is just as good!!

  • This was my very first horror story. I really loved it. It was very well put together. I loved the way the author titled each chapter. This short horror story involves the Internet. AKA Twitter. It's about a string of very gruesome murders were the victims are tagged on Twitter @blahblah #yourenext. Hence the title. It was a really good horror story. And it won't be my last. RL Weeks is a very talented author. I really love her writing style. P.S. I could TOTALLY see this as a movie!

  • This is a creepy short story which really brings to light how social media can help to hide those of us that are scary. It is really well written getting to the point quicklyis is only my second read from this author and I really enjoyed it. It was however very gruesome at parts and so well written that I was seeing it in my dreams.

  • Awful and gruesomeThe description was way too vague. If I had known this book would describe torture and murder in detail, I never would have read it. The author posted a teaser for the book in my romance book group on Facebook, so I thought there would be some angle that would make it appropriate for that group. A big, giant no.

  • While this story is only 28 pages long, it certainly terrified me! In one of those "it could happen in real life" scenarios, R.L. Weeks gives a thrill ride of horror in the world of social media. It's not for the faint of heart, so if you're not a fan of the genre, be forewarned! *ARC received from author in exchange for honest review*

  • Wow. This book was short but great. It shows the power of social media. It's scary because it could totally happen. Some people take social media way too far and way too seriously. It was pretty gory so this book might not be for everyone, but if you can stomach the gore, it is well worth the read. It might even change your views about Twitter and social media.

  • This is EXACTLY what I am looking for in a horror story! The action starts almost immediately and there are a few scenes that made me want to cover my eyes because of the brutality. R.L. Weeks did a great job making a cringe worthy story that I devoured!

  • If you don't have a light stomach #yourenext is the short story for you! It is very graphic and you can picture it all happening like you are right there watching it happen. It is definitely something that could happen in real life. Very well written.

  • wow what a amazing short story of getting revenge on those that have done your wrong in the past! talk about graphic in detail how they were killed! thanks for giving me a chance to read this book! highly recommend this book to everyone!

  • For a short story it had me freaked out a bit. The thought that something like this could have in social media is scary. The book had a few parts that made me squirming but that's what your suppose to feel with dark twisted stories about murdering someone. Good job!!!

  • We are all captives to the #hashtag to a degree!Great, fast flowing symmetry of short tales! Loved it and would love too read more by this author! Just enough gore, suspense and thrill!

  • Never a Dull MomentI loved how fast paced this book was, there is not a single dull moment. I found myself cringing while reading, yeah it's that good.

  • This short story kept me guessing kept me thinking and kept me on the edge of my seat in suspense! I absolutely love the whole plot just wish it had been a bit longer

  • So completely different from other stories I've read and it was a great quick read. I really enjoyed reading this short story and loved the view it took on modern society.

  • Wow. A very well written short horror! The details are amazing, this is something that isn't actually really far-fetched which makes it even freakier! I thoroughly enjoyed this! 5 stars from me!
