  • Lucy McConnell

Lucy McConnell Is a well-known author, some of his books are a fascination for readers like in the The Reclusive Billionaire book, this is one of the most wanted Lucy McConnell author readers around the world.

  • This is 3.5 stars rounding up for me. I enjoyed the fast pace and shorter length of this book but I found that I wanted to see more development of the two characters. Of course when you're writing a novella and only have so many words, you're a little restricted to how much you can develop characters and plot. That being said, it was an enjoyable read even if some aspects didn't quite feel real. I enjoyed the MCs and their different backgrounds. Lucas is a scientist who started his own pharmaceu [...]

  • Fun, fast paced novella. With my time limited no days I am loving novella's more and more. While their relatioship did seem a dad rushed ( I know, it's a novella, what do you expect) it was still fun and flirty. (I know I'm being selfish but I really wanted Luke/Lucas to get the credit for (view spoiler)[cure for the butterfly vaccine. (hide spoiler)] Oh well.)Moral Note: Clean

  • (3.5 Stars) It seems that every so often, a new pandemic crops up that leaves people in a panic. In this story, the dreadful butterfly flu is killing people and Lucas is trying to find a cure. After a death that hits close to home and a resulting investigation, he seeks solace on a boat in Santa Barbara, where he meets the cute and perky vet, Becca. She has a heart that's a little too big, as she's always getting into trouble for taking in strays. While I enjoyed watching Lucas and Becca interact [...]

  • Great clean romanceI love that Lucas is such an amazing guy! He tried to save his sister and he can't stop thinking about what he can do to save the world. Even though he has to hide out, he is still awesome! She is happy and loves animals! She spreads sunshine everywhere she goes. When the two meet, fun ensues! I loved everything, right up to the last part when it sounded like she was running off with him. Blech! I still am excited for the next one though!

  • 3.5 StarsLucas Scott is a world-renowned microbiologist in search of a cure for the butterfly flu. He's on the verge of a breakthrough when things go awry and he ends up having to step down as head of his company and dissolves his research team. In an effort to escape the media and evil reporters he heads to Santa Barbara, CA to live on his boat, Incognito, for the foreseeable future.Becca Lee is a vet that will do anything and everything for animals. She trusts and loves them more than people. [...]

  • I absolutely love Lucy McConnell's books! The Reclusive Billionaire is another must-read for me. Lucas and Becca were so real and I loved how she taught him to care and he inspired her to trust humans again. The Reclusive Billionaire is a fun, fast-paced, and uplifting romance.

  • I've loved Lucy's Billionaire Marriage Brokers Series so was excited to see she had written a book for this new series. The Reclusive Billionaire is a good book that I enjoyed but I didn't love it the way I have the titles in her other series. Likable characters but I just didn't connect with them and become emotionally invested like I have with her other books. That said, for anyone who enjoys clean romance this is still totally worth reading.3.5 stars - Good BookContent: CleanSource: Kindle Un [...]

  • This book was a quick romantic fix for me today. I loved the characters and the setting. My only complaint is that I wish it would have been a bit longer. 127 pages just wasn't enough. It felt a bit rushed and I would have liked to have felt a bit more depth and relationship building. But, it was fun diversion. I'm looking forward to the next books in this new series!

  • Short and sweetLucas a scientist almost near to discover cure for a disease that is killing millions of people, including his sister is forced to resign and live incognito. Becca a veterinarian whose is always rescuing animals, now fine herself rescuing Lucas, not realizing she too needed rescuing too. Must read. Good story

  • This is a very short book, easily read in a couple of hours. I enjoyed the story and very much appreciated how clean it was.

  • I enjoyed this book! The characters were great and the story was interesting. I really felt for Lucas! His world was turned completely upside down. Knowing what he was going through, it drove me crazy when Becca started making assumptions about him – to his face! She is such a kind, caring person, so it surprised me. But even with a rocky start, sparks were flying. The romance was fast, though, and the book wrapped up very quickly, but it’s a novella, so that’s easier to forgive. :)

  • Big Red silly and goofyGood story line. Kept me turning pages. Love big red sounds goofy and adorable. I also how the vet is the town hero

  • Great readI liked this book because it did not include any sex. The couple fell in love do to their emotional connection. I will be reading more of her books.

  • This story went by fast. I don't know if it was shortish, or if I just flew through it. Anyway, I really like Becca and her love of animals. She seems to get along with them better than people at times, but everyone loves her. Luke takes a bit to get to know. He's hurting and hiding, but Becca is just what he needs. It's sweet that Big Red sort of breaks down Luke's defenses enough for him to let Becca in too. And Becca? Smart, loyal, forgiving and willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I [...]

  • Good story!I enjoyed reading about these two characters and I look forward to reading more of these series. I liked how they helped each other.

  • I liked the characters, but the relationship development was lacking. I knew I was going to marry my husband after our first date, and even I couldn't swallow how fast they were suddenly in love. It was a cute story, though.Content: clean. No language or sex. Some very minor, non-graphic violence.

  • This is the first in a new series of Destination Billionaire Romances. I love the way that each of these books will travel to a new and exotic location. This one is set in Santa Barbara and I loved the way that the whole book had kind of a California vibe to it. And how fun is it that both Becca and Luke live in houseboats on the ocean? Sounds like kind of an idyllic life to me!I loved Becca in this book, she's a vet, my very favorite thing about her is the way that she takes in stray animals, g [...]

  • The Butterfly fluBecca is a vet living on a boat where dogs are not allowed. Lucas is a brilliant scientist who was working on a vaccine for the Butterfly Flu that killed his sister. He was banned from his lab after her death, with the FDA blaming Lucas for giving an untested vaccine. Lucas is living on his boat hIding from the media. Together they try to hide a stray dog, Red, from the authorities wanting to place the stray into a shelter where the allowed time is five days before being put to [...]

  • This was another great romance with a kick by Lucy. I enjoyed the idea of the butterfly flu and the world pandemic it caused and how it affected the characters. This story was a delight to read because the romance had some great twists in it. The setting of Santa Barbara was fun and unique with the house boats. I laughed in several places, loved the dialog, and the fun connection the characters had with animals. I felt like the ending was somewhat abrupt, which means that I was just enjoying the [...]

  • This is the start of a wonderful new series by a great list of authors and it's off to a great start with The Reclusive Billionaire. I always love to read Lucy McConnell's books because she writes in a mature, easy-to-read style with enough description that the reader can visualize everything happening in their imagination - yet it is not so descriptive as to be boring. Great, engaging characters, some humour, some action, very clean and romantic. I highly recommend this novella and I look forwa [...]

  • I love Lucy McConnel's books and was excited to read this one! However, I read a few bad reviews so it got placed on the back burner for a bit when normally I would have dropped everything and binge read. In the end, I really enjoyed it. It was defiantly not my favorite of hers but I still enjoyed it and I thought it was a great story. I read it carefully looking for bad and didn't find any! It wasn't binge worthy but All in all it was a cute story and I enjoyed it!

  • This is an outstanding clean romance and a quick read with solid characters. Of the 9 Lucy McConnell offerings I have read this makes the 8th time I have left a five star review. I leave to other reviewers to disclose the spoilers. Suffice it to say that if you want a great read, with strong, well defined characters, and a story line that will keep you captive for the full 127 pages – look no further.

  • This was a short book--probably a novella--but it didn't leave me feeling sort of short changed like I usually feel about novellas. Just as an aside, this guy Luke/Lucas didn't really have to be a "billionaire" for this story to work. I thought this was a really good story. I recommend this.

  • The reclusive billionaire The reclusive billionaire is a sweet romance novel by Lucy McConell. I enjoyed the story. It was a fun quick read. You can tell the author put in time to research and make the story real.

  • Not as great McConnell's usual story lines, but still a very sweet and fun romance! The butterfly flu was better realized than expected, but the pacing could have used some work.Solid, quick read!

  • Loved Big RedWhen a dog who only shows up once in awhile can be so loveable, then how can the book be anything but fabulous. Luke and Becca were great together. A really fun clean read.

  • I loved it! Fast, fun, sweet, and sexy yummy. There was one part where it switch to telling. It jerked me out of the story for a second, but I quickly moved past and it was great.
