The general regency feel of this made it nothing special along with the incredibly stretched out "I love him! But now he wants to marry me because I'm compromised but I shall never marry him because I don't think he loves me!". think this was my favorite of the series. I really liked Victoria she was strong, smart, beautiful and wasn't going to take any crap. My favorite of the series. Scandalous Shame The scandal is that the bones of an excellent story lie here. It's just a shame they're buried under tons of high drama and so much angst I thought I'd pull my hair out before I finished it. Add to that a great deal of trite phrasing - "beyond a shadow of a doubt" seems to be a favorite of this author - and my big toe has suffered permanent damage from tripping over the typos, dropped words and mangled sentences. Yoo-hoo Copy Editor! Where'd you disappear to?

A very nice story Victoria loved Tristan but he didn't know it. She decided she wanted him and was going to seduce him. When a near tragedy caused him to become distraught Victoria eased his pain. There are a lot of convoluted Annoying Angst here, It seems like the author is determined to churn the reader's emotions every which way and add the characters' dubious Faith in the Almighty into the mix so that we have too many things going on including some secrets,too. All so confusing, but the fun thing here is the author's words (although obviously American, it has "Made in USA" stamped all~over it) she managed to insert thought~provoking insights in those pages. Forever LoveVictoria has loved Tristan for years! She has decided that he needs help in realizing that she is no longer a child but a woman. Things start happening and they go through many problems but true love wins in the end.

This book is DULL! Thank the Lord it was free because if I paid for this I would have been pissed.

Another wonderful read by Goodwin. I am loving the characters in this series and look forward to reading the rest.

This book is my favorite story of the series. The author is really coming into her comfort zone. Tristan and Victoria are such a great couple, who both suffered such heartbreak in the past. This story really touched my heart and I just kept hoping all would work out for them. There is also talks with God, in this story. OkThis book was ok I liked the first two books better. Victoria played to many games she was a bit childish. But overall ok book just read the other to forst.

For a shorter Regency Romance book, which can certainly be hit or miss (and often repeat the same plot over and over) I really enjoyed this story. The main female character was strong, and I enjoyed that she was able to hold her own as a character who had experienced both struggle and victory, and was prepared to go after what she wanted using whatever means necessary. Wow! Talk about intense, though I really wanted to stick a knife in Tristan over & over!

I ALMOST DNF this one. It didn't gel for a really REALLY long time. It felt disjointed and most of the time I just wanted to tell "talk to each other you idiots!!"

One of the best I have read. I would give this book 10 stars if it were possible.

Good readThe seduction was very little but the story was good. Romance and mystery were mixed into this story and it was perfect.
