  • This picturebook is charming, adorable and funny, and it also has a really lovely message about choosing your own identity and being who you want to be, not who other people think you are (or should be). It appealed to both my 3-year-old and my 7-year-old, and I loved it, too.

  • Oh I loved this picture book. It's simply fab. Funny and colourful with some lovely messages hidden in the story.

  • This is a really lovely story about a bear who wanted to be a bee as he loved honey. He loved Bee school but they found out he was a bear and threw him out of the school. But one night, a really scary bear shook the bee hive but the other bear chased him away. He was rewarded with a big pot of honey and to go back to the school as a bumble bear. This story could be used for a cross-ciricular lesson: Bee life, art, dance, maths and writting.

  • This book has been given to every reception child in the uk this year by the Booktrust. Brilliant story, great pictures, the children I have shared this book with have really loved it

His reasoning being that [...]

I was first drawn to it by the intriguing title, and the cheerful picture on the front cover of a smiling bear surrounded by a crowd of awestruck bees, who for some reason all thought standing on the ground around a creature with feet as big as twenty of them put together constituted a sensible life-choice. Surely this must be a chee [...]
