  • This was a really great read, following on from the first in the triligy Throne of Ice, in a coherent and enticing manner. It quickly draws the reader in, and I very much enjoyed the plot and character development. This book pulls in characters from other folk tales in a clever way, without distracting from the main plot development.   • This is the second book I've read by this author and once again I have come away impressed at this writer's ability to take some familiar characters and storylines and create new sagas from them. The language in these stories is wonderfully descriptive and I love the imagination as familiar characters take on slightly different roles and find themselves on different adventures.
