This series is wild! I'm absolutely in love and in-jealous with the author's writing. I love Kelli's unique voice. This series is a beautiful tale of love that is 'meant to be' and transcends time and space. Kenna is such a wonderfully confident character and Phil is your typical broken alpha but with a certain likeability that I haven't seen before. The songs and the band are fabulous, too. Thank goodness I happened to cross paths with Kelli Jean and her amazing work not only do you read her beautifully written work but you also live,breathe and feel how the love story plays out. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of No Quarter in exchange for my honest opinion. Well my opinion is BUY THIS BOOK!!!! If you haven't read Over the Hills and Far Away you NEED to read that to get yourself all caught up in one of the BEST rocker series I've EVER read!! Phil is BEYOND AWESOME!!! Words can't describe how much I LOVED him. And Kenna? Never have I felt so connected to a character in my life. From start to finish I was so involved in this story, that all I wanted to do was read. Though I kind ox expected to be bored while reading this book because I thought the first one was long enough to cover the story, I actually enjoyed it a lot.That doesn't mean I'm really eager to red the third one. while I really loved the first book, had a few doubts about the second one, I'm kind of ready for this couple to find their HEA. Still I'm pretty impressed by this author.

4 stars.Book 2 in NOLA's Own series.This instalment in the Kenna & Phil saga was hilariously funny. I wet my panties at more than one point in this book. (Seriously I p'd a little bit!)This book, like the first one, had a great storyline and amazing characterization. This author is superb at pulling you into the minds of K and P. This is NOT a standalone so please read 'Over the Hills and Far Away' first. That being said, please DO read it because it was amazing.

No Quarter by Kelli Jean is the 2nd book in the NOLA's Own series and just like the first one I LOVED IT!!! I couldn't put it down except for when I absolutely had to. This book made me run through all the emotions from start to finish. Kenna and Phil have a turbulent relationship that is really meant to be. Best part for me was the can-do heroine and her best friends, as well as the close tie to music. Worth listening to Led Zeppelin's Houses of the Holy album while reading all the book in the series- you will appreciate the book titles much more, as well as some of the plot beats and the lyric's of NOLA's Junk songs.

I don't know what to say right now. I read this book a few days ago and I am speechless. This book was more complex. More compelling, more captivating than the last. I have not laughed so hard that my shoulders hurt, my sides hurt, my asthma kicked in because I was laughing so hard.The part at just before I hit 1/4 of the book that really did it was when the girls came home from eating out at Lili's boyfriend's restaurant.
