  • 1 star.Aimee's summer plans have been shot to hell. Due to a schedule mishap with her parents' volunteer work and her grandmother's, plus her best friend's mono, it's decided she's going with her brother during his internshipwith team working with the biggest boy band to date, Seconds to Juliet. Anyone would pay to be in Aimee's shoes. She'd happily switch with anyone, if you asked her. Aimee's had a crush on Nick's best friend, Second to Juliet's very own Miles Carlisle, when she was eleven. Bu [...]

  • DNF 70% - Browsing until I burned my eyes. Have no idea how I got this far.I have no idea which zombie got my brain so I that I could have this brilliant idea of reading a book with this title. And this cover. I was looking for one of those lights and fluffy stories and this rockstar vibe got my attention. At first I was okay with the story. All that girl growing up and famous boy not recognizing her and hitting on her was interesting. But then we get to this obsessive comments of how he can't f [...]

  • My fangirl heart is just bursting. MAKE WAY! MAKE WAY! SECONDS TO JULIET is finally here. Heard about them? The newest and HOTTEST bookish BOYBAND there is! And ladies and gents, Miles Carlisle is on the spotlight. And things are about to get really swoony around here.Aimee had a huge crush on Miles since forever and though she's still on the middle of Operation: forget-about-Miles propaganda, sparks can't stop flying when they saw each other again. And now sparks won't definitely stop flying no [...]

  • With two great hits that I just devoured, Ophelia London has quickly become an author I know I can count on for a fun, light hearted read just when I need one most. And this truly was that, a light read, with just the right amount of romance and swoon worthy moments between Aimee and Miles to make my heart flutter and my face break out in a smile. And while this did feel a bit younger than her other reads, it was still as good as I have come to expect from London. It is hard to resist a rock star [...]

  • Aimee and the Heartthrob by Ophelia London is a whirlwind story that is uniquely written musical experience! Bustling with drama, this is a book that is hard to put down. An amazing setting also sets the stage for this fun-filled series.Aimee and the Heartthrob is a very musical book. It tells the story of Aimee, who is stuck going on tour with a band called Seconds to Juliet. With each chapter, I learned more and more about what it’s like to be on tour, and what it’s like to be insanely pop [...]

  • Loved the idea of this. Who doesn't want the rockstar boy to write songs and serenade them? I loved the essence of the story. The running around hotels, sneaking in buses, and tour life: of it all was pretty fun. There were some really sweet and swoony moments and of course I enjoyed all of that. Sadly, the voice of the story seemed really young. Aimee is supposed to be 16 and Miles is 17 and both of them come across as much younger. Aimee's inner monologue had text speak in it and I struggled w [...]

  • So I have a review copy of the second book in this series, that I got before I realized it was a series, so of course I had to go back and read this one first. And I have been super sick, cant sleep due to coughing. So last night during my coughing fits I decided to pick up my tablet and start this. I ended up reading the whole thing in a surprisingly short amount of time. I honestly don't even know how I managed it with being so sick. It was weird. This is by no means a perfect book. Its not a [...]

  • Fun, sweet, and so, so HOT! This is my teenage dream come true! Ophelia London perfectly captures the push and pull, the yearning and angst, and the all-consuming Rush of first love in Aimee and the Heartthrob. I never wanted this story to end. I'm officially a card carrying member of the Miles High Club

  • I received an ARC through NetGalley.I was hesitant going into Aimee and the Heartthrob, because I absolutely hated the first book I read from this author. But it's a totally different story, sounded cute, and I figured I'd go into it with an open mind. Plus, the following book is written by a favorite author, and I won't knowingly read a series out of order. Well, I certainly wish I didn't have that reading a series in order compulsion, because my instincts were correct. I seriously just cannot [...]

  • If someone had told Aimee Bingham two years ago that she would be spending one whole month on the road with Miles Carlisle, she would have been over-the-top happy. Now, after being crushed by the famous pop star, she begs for another alternative. The girl Miles sees is not the girl he’s known for five years, and he wants nothing more than to get to know her. Aimee tries to keep her old crush hidden in the corners of her mind, but Miles won’t stay away. Can she trust this Hollywood Heartthrob [...]

  • I really enjoyed this sweet romance! Aimee has been in love with her brothers best friend for 5 years. Aimee knew Miles before he was famous and now he is a successful boy band member. Aimee and Miles haven't seen each other in a few years and in those years, Aimee has had a growth spurt and has changed from the tag-along little sister to a beautiful woman and Miles notices. The problem is that Miles promised his friend that Aimee is off-limits. The connection between Miles and Aimee was really [...]

  • This was absolutely adorable. Aimee has had a crush on Miles Carlisle since she was a kid. But after learning from her brother that Miles used to make fun of her for following them around, she stopped him cold turkey. But it's kind of hard to avoid someone who is: a. her brother's best friend, and b. a member of the hottest boy band on the music scene - Seconds to JulietWhen her brother gets an internship to help S2J on the road, he jumps at it, and because of unforeseen circumstances, Aimee is [...]

  • Aimee and the Heartthrob mixes up the rockstar/brothers best friend romance. Throw in a manufactured, all be it talented, boy band, reality TV and public image and you have the basis of the story ;)Both Aimee and Miles have altered drastically since they last saw each other 2 years ago. Aimee has developed into a stunning young woman with a bright and bubbly personality, fiercely loyal and kind. She is an imaginative blogger with previous fan fiction experience, bear this little piece of informa [...]

  • Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to review this title!I haven't read a fluffy, cheesy, gushy book like this in a long while and I really enjoyed it. I absolutely love books that just suck you into the romance and make you experience all the feels. The idea that a girl could fall in love with a pop star I just ate up. Their journey from becoming friends to more than friends was just super adorable. All the characters were really great and sassy. At times though, it got a little cheesy and the [...]

  • Miles he's just I loved him, "sorry, Aimee, I couldn’t see in the dark. Did I leave a mark on you, or a bruise on your, um…” He shot a quick glance directly at the area in question, making his entire body flush hot. “Or scratch you there-" I enjoyed this book I loved the teasing Miles did to Aimee, "Miles licked his lips and held his breath, knowing he shouldn’t say what he was about to. “What else have you dreamed about me doing to you, Aimee." I've read a few books by this author a [...]

  • When your parent’s divorce that’s trauma enough for a 12 year old. But, to move you from the UK to America is beyond what can be asked of any young boy. His dad had cheated on his mom changing his view for a while.Miles Carisle is now “The Heartthrob” of all young girls everywhere that follow his band “Seconds to Juliet.” His journey there was a hard one. If it weren’t for his dear friend Nick Bingham and family he’s not sure he would be where he is today. When he met Nick throug [...]

  • When I first heard Entangled was doing a series like this one, I was so onboard. I absolutely love all things music and boybands. I could relate to Aimee on so many levels, but the main one being that I ALSO wrote fanfiction when I was in high school. And I totally put it out there on a website. (No, don't ask I will NOT share. Rofl.) I was obsessed with all things Backstreet Boys and then Nsync, so reading about Seconds to Juliet was so much fun and reminded me of when I was younger. I read a l [...]

  • Review originally posted on Mostly YA Lit:I bought Aimee and the Heartthrob as part of a sale on the entire Backstage Pass series from Entangled Teen (99 cents for all five books!). Each book of the series features a different member of a boy band. I was really into Backstreet Boys back when I was a teen, so the whole thing resonated for me.Aimee and the Heartthrob is exactly the kind of book that Teen Me would have loved - full of angst, quick love, and a boy band member falling for a normal. [...]

Sejak s [...]

  • You know those authors that you will buy their book without even reading the synopsis??Well, Ophelia London is quickly becoming one of those authors for me. Everything I have read by her I have lovedShe writes such fabulous stories and I easily fall in to each and every one of them.Aimee and the Heartthrob was definitely no exception and in fact I wanna say it could be my favorite so far. I devoured this book and when I finished I was so angry because UGH it was overAimee and Miles were such fun [...]

  • *I'm literally having 90s boy band flashbacks*I love when novels are realistic. that is the one thing i look at when writing a review. whether or not the characters and situations are relateable. Therefore, there is one minor glitch to this story there is no way two parents would be okay with their teenage daughter going on a tour with 5 testostorone filled teenage boys not to mention staying in a bus with the crewis is way to random. I had a really hard time getting into this novel. i did enjoy [...]

  • (Source: I received an ARC of this book for free. Thanks to NetGalley, Entangled Publishing, LLC, Crush and Ophelia London.)“You might be a bullshitting poser, but you’re also a good guy. The best I know.”Unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations, but they were not so high.Yes it was cute, but there was soon much drama, it was such a drag, and the main characters well let's say I didn't like him that much. They were an OK characters, but not more. Aimee was needy, and Miles was selfish. [...]

  • This was a great story of young love and the misunderstandings that come with it.  I enjoyed the story of Aimee and the Heartthrob who just happens to be a childhood friend of her brothers. She fantasizes about what life would be like as his girlfriend and even writes about it not expecting anyone to every see it. Sometimes young love just can't be kept down and flourishes once everyone is on the same wave length. Great story.Reviewed by Susan. This review was originally posted on Cocktails and [...]

  • 4 heartwarming starsAimee and the Heartthrob was such a sweet, fun and romantic read, loved it.Both Aimee and Miles are likable characters, they have great chemistry and I enjoyed reading their love story.Aimee and the Heartthrob is the first book from the Backstage Pass series /series/1502 Great start, looking forward to reading the next book Mia and the Bad BoyThank you Entangled Crush via Netgalley for the advance copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

  • Absolutely LOVED this book! The genre is a bit younger than I normally read but with a hot boy band, young love, and Ophelia London writing the story I just couldn't pass it up! With a reputation as a heartthrob, Miles Carlisle is definitely off limits. Too bad Aimee Bingham's heart just refuses to acknowledge that fact. Being forced to spend 3 weeks on the road with the band makes it hard to stay away from him but as they spend time together they both discover the true person the other is, youn [...]

  • **I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.**This book was so adorable! The writing was nothing extraordinary but it was a cute fun read. Just what I was looking for. Even though the plot was at times predictable I still found myself enjoying it. I basically read this all in one sitting because I had to find out what happened. If you are looking for a quick easy contemporary read then give this a shot!
