  • 3.5 starsThe description of this is very misleading. Will he risk their friendship for the sake of musical stardom? Pfft! This is seriously nothing like that. There was no "betraying his best friend" or whatever the blurb says. This was a really simple story about Noah who tries out for Rock War - a televised Camp Rock-like show - but it wasn't for the fame or the stardom or anything like that at all. Noah auditions because he wants to attend the music camp that they train their participants at [...]

  • A companion novella to "Rock war" by Robert Muchamore and part of the "quick reads" series of publications.Known for the 'Cherub' and 'Henderson Boys' series about espionage, the subject changes to the music industry in "Rock war". However both new books have plenty of action to keep you reading so the style is not so different from his previous books.Noah, the main character, is a young amputee who is confined to a wheelchair. His best friend Sadie is a tomboy, who is always ready to defend him [...]

  • I wasn't expecting much from this it was a book my brother gave to me to read cause his new favourite thing is to swap books to read. I liked this story although I felt like the description for this book was a bit misleading. I enjoyed the story, the protagonist was very likeable and realistic and made the book more enjoyable and it was a good introduction into the series.

  • probably aimed at a younger age group, I found the characters annoying and I didn't really get why Noah felt the need to suck up to the popular kids when he had a perfectly good friend already.
