  • I’m a pretty patient guy and I tend not to get very caught up in things like books and TV shows. I don’t mind waiting until next week, or even a few months, for the next episode of The Walking Dead. If a sequel to a book or movie I liked takes a couple of years to get released I’m fine with that. I can keep myself entertained with other stuff in the meantime. I never use the old cliché, “I couldn’t put this book down.” No matter how much I am enjoying a story, I have other stuff I n [...]

  • 4 1/2 stars rounded up to 5, because that's how rounding works, and this book is very much deserving."A Bloody Road to Nowhere" tells the story of an introverted college girl from day one of the zombie outbreak, when she lands in a rescue camp, and follows her through various bloody encounters of chance and misfortune. Uri's story is told from first person narrative, which I thoroughly enjoyed, as Uri is smart, loyal, in short, a character that I truly cared about and felt for. What a story! I di [...]

  • A Bloody Road to Nowhere is a thrilling tale of the zombie apocalypse, told by a kickass young woman named Ury. I love reading zombie books told in first person because you feel like you're living through the apocalypse with the protagonist. The story starts off on the first day of a zombie invasion, which lands Ury in a camp for survivors. Naturally, things fall apart, and the main character finds herself on a bloody road to nowhere. The author does a great job of balancing action and character [...]

  • Overall 3.5/5The book is a collection of a novella ,A Bloody road to nowhere, and collection of 5 short stories set in the same post-apocalyptic world where humans have to fight zombies for survival. My Ratings:A bloody road to nowhere 3.5/5Tales from the apocalypse has following storiesTotaled 3/5Run Mr Johnson, Run for your life 3/5Wretched Spawn 3/5There is no coming back 3.5/5Only fools die in love 3/5

  • The first and last stories in this were incredibly irritating, with the heroine in both being obnoxious (Uri), and, in the case of the second one, stupid. The other four stories, though, made up for that slightly, with 'There Is No Coming Back' being the best of the bunch. Not a bad read, but not terrific, either.

  • Joanna Prototype is an excellent author and A Bloody Road to Nowhere and Tales from the Apocalypse is a gory, gruesome zombie adventure. The lot is filled with twists and turns, and a whole load of the undead, and it's driven by the strong characters - a must read!

  • Decent zombie short story.ories idk. What to say. First I had no idea this was one long zombie story then a bunch if really short ones. The first story was good not great but I did like how Ury told it in the first person. She was a dancer, free runner, living in a one room apartment when the virus hit. She had no idea what it was. Then she was lead away by soldiers to a camp where she met Patrick, well he escorted her from her apartment, but then at the camp they became close then when everything [...]

  • I gave this book a 2 star, only because I actually read through the entire book. Otherwise I would have given it a one star. The ideas of the novel and short stories were conceptually good but the dialogue between the main characters were dry and mainly fillers. I guess I just had higher expectations for the main characters and because they were not fully developed, I had no attachment to them. For me these stories just didn't give me that post-apocalypse world I was looking for. But if you are [...]
