"Sink or Swim" is a really good book. Abby and Jonah have a magical mirror that transports them to fairy tales. This time they go to The Little Mermaid. Abby and Jonah don't like the way the original story ends so they decide to change it. My students continue to enjoy this series. More surprising, so do I. This time we visit the original Little Mermaid tale and discover, despite Disney's Hollywood ending, we WANT Jonah and Abby to change this story. There must be some way to stop the Little Mermaid from dying at the end. Mlynowski does a great job of pointing out the story's morals without being heavy-handed and brings us a satisfying and not-quite-so-Hollywood rewrite. OK - A princess story where the princess is named LANA and the kingdom's favorite color is YELLOW!?!?! What's not to like!?

Really cute kids book but I think I am just to old for it. I love juvenile books but this one is more for elementary age. Still a story that my younger self would have loved.

Lorelei loves these books, she loves the fairytale and the mystery aspect to them. They're quick reads (3-4 hours typically) and she has been listening to 1 to 1 and 1/2 a day recently.

OMG I read the book before this about Cinderella and I loved it how they entered the land of Cinderella's home and totally changed the story. This a book that is about this girl and her brother and travel through this majestic mirror that is in there basement/ parents work space and when it glows a petty color they can travel to a wonderful book story and help the character and the character they help in this story is the little mermaid. the kids must get the little mermaid to get her to kiss her prince before sunset if not the story will be lost forever.

Abby's not sure she wants to fly solo to see her grandmother, and she and Jonah end up going through the magic mirror instead--on a trip to meet The Little Mermaid. This time, there really are multiple layers to the story's differences from what they were told in the fairy tales, and they have to save The Little Mermaid from herself -- but face a number of crazy surprises in the process

Lovin' this series! My fourth grade niece recommended them to me, and I can't get enough of them! I love how the solution seems simple, but there are plot twists and unexpected endings. I also enjoy learning about the "real" version of the fairy tale, not just the Disney one that I'm used to.

2.5Well, I must admit this story didn't satisfy me overall, but it is waaay better than the previous installment in the series! Abby is more bearable, and she aknowledges her brother is a funny little guy (he is cute indeed, even if he doesn't read so much).

Cute retelling of The Little MermaidThis tween book was a cute adventure. I would recommend for children 8-12. I read it as part of a reading program and was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it is.

Do you know my favorite thing about this series? The princesses don’t rush into relationships. They’re all independent, multi-dimensional characters with different interests. Cinderella loved baking. Little Mermaid loved cooking.Yeah, definitely buying a set for my classroom.

Best Whatever After book so far! Lana is too funny how she won't lay in her own bed. Good no one drowned.

I loved this book because it was about mermaids which was the tale of Ariel. And I love mermaids, and the movie Little Mermaid.

I think this was an amazing book! I rated it 5 stars because it was very exciting! I never wanted to put the book down! This book is about a girl named Abby and her brother Jonah who discover a magic mirror in their basement! They realized that the mirror brought them to the fairy tale The Little Mermaid after they messed up her story! But once again things kept getting worse and worse! Will they be able to fix her story and save her before it's too late? Read the book and you'll find out!

I liked this book because it was mysterious and interesting. Also,the book is cool because the characters go to different fairy tales. Overall that is why I like this book.
