  • I received a free copy of the book from the author for an honest review. Tripped Up Love is fun, romantic, family-oriented and a bit awkward. Its the Panda of novels. Cute, not graceful, but oh so adorable and cuddly. Heather is a widow with three children. She is totally focused on her children. She has been in recovery mode for 18 months. You get a great sense of how she puts her children first in her life. Moms like me, will be able to connect with her. She is a mom, a real mom. She is fun an [...]

  • While I enjoyed reading this book, I was a little frustrated with the main character, Heather. As a mom of 3 kids, I definitely understand the stresses of being a parent. However, I felt like her relationship with Peter and many of her subsequent actions were extremely selfish. Her children were already dealing with the death of their father. It seemed like she often put her own happiness ahead of her children, forcing them to accept her decisions and consequences, whether they wanted to or not. [...]

  • I had never heard of Julie Farley until I read this book, but I will not be forgetting her anytime soon. This was a wonderful story full and loss and love and second chances. It is one of the most beautiful love stories that I have read in a long time. I could relate to Heather, as I am sure every woman who is married with kids or raising kids alone can, on so many levels. I can not imagine the loss she experienced, but everything she went through trying to raise her kids alone and venturing out [...]

  • Tripped Up Love is the wonderful story of a woman's journey of moving forward and getting a second chance at love after the death of her husband.Heather Meadows is a forty year old widow with three children, who is still grieving from the unexpected death of her husband Hank, who passed away eighteen months ago from a heart attack at the age of thirty-eight. Hank and Heather had been together for thirty-two years, he was her life, her world, her everything now her happily ever after was over an [...]

  • *** Book Synopsis ***Heather Meadows lost the only love she’s ever known. Her perfect, yet ordinary life was turned upside down the day her 38-year-old husband died. Her happily ever after was gone in the blink of an eye. Heather’s life becomes the subject of scrutiny and pity as she tries to pick up the pieces of her shattered world and raise her three children on her own. In the midst of suburbia and gossipy neighbors, Heather tries to re-build a normal life. Little does she know she’s a [...]

  • 3.5 starsTripped up love is a sweet story that focuses on love after loss. Heather is a middle-aged widow with three kids. Anyone with kids can imagine how incredibly hard that would be. Eighteen months after the unexpected death of her husband, Heather literally falls into Peter’s life, and he changes hers completely. What I enjoyed about the book is that it was real, with just a touch of fantasy (Peter is a wealthy author, so of course there were the obligatory first class plane rides, the sh [...]

  • Julie Farley is now on tour with CLP Blog Tours and Tripped Up LoveI really enjoyed Tripped Up Love, because it had so many elements to it, yet never felt bogged down with too much plot. There is a lot of emotion when it comes to Heather losing her husband, but it was it was great to watch her journey and how she tackles single parenthood and the sheer loss of losing her partner at such a young age. As we transition into watching Heather move forward, it’s impossible not to cheer from her. I [...]

  • Ok. I love a good "happily ever after" story like anyone else, but this novel was even a little to "fairy tale" for me. The lead character Peter is described as being hotter than Adam Levine? Yea right.ke THAT's possible! haha But for those of you who love a sweet,fun-loving perfect romance this is the book for you!!!

  • I picked up this book because the premise appealed to me--but the writing is stilted--not very well developed. I could not finish it. Very disappointing.

  • Anyone who loves a Happily Ever After love story will love "Tripped Up Love." It starts out sounding depressing as hell (premise: young widow of 39 raising three kids by herself while still grieving), but the book is so much more than that, and isn't sad or morose at all. Julie does an amazing job pulling you in very quickly to the wonderful surprise relationship that blooms when Heather (literally) stumbles upon a chance meeting with hunky author and Adam Levine look alike, Peter. It's a fun an [...]

  • Heather Nester Meadows thought she had her happily ever after. She was married to her childhood love and had three delightful kids. However her world was tossed upside down when she unexpectedly lost her husband. Trying to manage the kids, staying strong on the outside and fending off the waves of friends filled with pity, became her daily routine over the past year and a half. That is, until a pothole struck her down during one of her morning jogs. Peter Adamson saw Heather fall and immediately [...]

  • While I enjoyed the Richmond references, there was not much more about this book that was redeeming. It was far-fetched. I suppose, if you are a hopeless romantic, this is the type of story that makes your heart flutter and gives you a renewed hope that love exists and conquers all blah blah blah. I won't reveal any spoilers, but I am not certain that, when things happen just as you expect them to that you can really "spoil" anything (though, one of the plot "twists" happened pretty abruptly). F [...]

  • I absolutely adored this book! First of all I loved that it centered around characters who find unexpected love and new beginnings later in life! That sex in your forties can be hotter than hell, lol! Heather was such a hilarious and wonderful character! The reader goes through the gamut of emotions right along with her, her kids and Peter. I laughed out loud so many times while reading this! GREAT BOOK!

  • I absolutely enjoyed this tale of happily ever after! The cynic in me kept waiting for something bad to happen, but was pleased in how the story played out. With the reality of so many bad things happening throughout this world it was refreshing to read this story where amazingly wonderful things happen!

  • Great story! Quick read, or maybe it's just because I didn't put it down until I was finished;) My only complaint would be that I felt the characters moved into a relationship too fast. I really enjoyed the theme of a widow dealing with guilt and learning to love again. I will look for more books from this author!!

  • I won a copy of this book in a giveaway.A book about a second chance at love. Heather's husband died unexpectedly 18 months ago. She has her 3 kids she has to care for now. Finding somone is so not on her to do list right now. Her clumsiness lands her in the arms of a romantic, best selling author. It is a sweet story about her finding love again. Sad, Funny, humorous at times but romantic :)

  • I received this book through the giveaways. Not only could i not put the book down, but i laughed and i cried. Truly a wonderful and great story. The characters were well fleshed out and i felt the emotions of the main character as i read. A book you can lose yoursel to and wish for those happy endings, not just for yourself but all your friends and family.

  • I found this for free on for my Kindle. Just pulled it up to read yesterday and finished the book last night. It is full of emotions. I cried and laughed but really loved the characters created by Julie Farley. I am a romantic and the ending does not disappoint. Great Saturday beach read.

  • Loved reading about mature.own people.n't get me wrong I love a good YA book but it's getting hard to find books about people around my age (that would be 35, this yearI'm not ashamed to admit it)with kids (I have 4)Great readfelt a little rushed at timesa little sadbut real.d heartfelt read!!!!! Thank you Julie Farley

  • Although I thought the relationship moved a little fast, I really liked Heather and Peter's story. It makes you believe that there's a happily ever after for everyone. Even the 2nd time around. Looking forward to starting Book 2

  • This book was a fun readwith an unexpected fun twist towards the end. It is an easy readI finished during just one rainy, lazy Sunday. I love books that literally make me LOL as this one did on multiple occasions.

  • love this book so much! I found myself crying and smiling with Heather. This book had brought me to back to my childhood memoriese time when my father suddenly passed away and left my mother with two little trouble-markers, but she didn't get to meet Peter like how Heather did in this book.

  • I totally fell in love with this book. I was able to relate to the characters. I was so pleased at the end when Julie left us wanting more, but didn't leave us with a huge cliffhanger. That is very irritating! So excited to read the next nook.

  • Loved loved loved! Often laugh-out-loud funny, with lovable characters, and a wonderful story that's impossible to put down because it's so much fun to read. Hope there will be a sequel!

  • I won this book in a giveaway. I loved it. It was such a good book. It left me wanting more. I need to get the next one asap!! Thanks Julie!

  • Excellent!!!!!!!I loved it that the characters overcame so much, and they were really sweet together. I also laughed at loud several times!!!!!

  • A sweet story and I love the age bracket! Who could not fall in love with Peter and his endearing romance with widow Heather and her 3 children. A great read with HEA!

  • Light read , Not very emotional . I especially loved the ages of the characters since most romance are YA And its tiering at some point .
