  • 4 NORTHERN STARS.After discovering this author recently and reading her latest novel 'sweet home' I was most definitely interested in reading other books by this British author from northern England (yes I'm 100% biased). I read the blurb, got hooked up with a fabulous buddy read and promptly fell further in love with the author and her unending romantic talents Here are my 'Eternally North' book thoughts What's it all about?Natasha Munro has just found her long term boyfriend in a rather compr [...]

  • 4 Sunshine Stars. After catching her boyfriend cheating on her, Natasha decides she needs a change of scenery, so she and her best-friend Tink, leave England and move to Canada. There she meets one of her student’s older brother, Tudor North, and he’s nothing less than the famous Hollywood actor, an action movies god. They immediately became attracted to each other, but Tudor keeps secrets that won’t let him give himself easily. But it comes a point when neither of them can resist anymore a [...]

  • Every once in awhile I feel the need to read something that will take me on a hilarious, romantic journey, that will leave me immensely satisfied, relaxed and dizzy with fuzy, warm emotions. This is the second time Tillie Cole took me on a ride like this, and I suppose it won’t be the last. I feel entirely addicted to her amazing storytelling, wonderful, likeable characters and great sense of humor. And I definitely will be reading more of her crazy, sweet and out of the charts romance novels. [...]

  • [image error][image error]Faaaabulous darling!4.5 sunshiney, Geordie, ham sandwich stars!Love Unscripted meets The Unidentified Redhead! That is how I would describe Eternally North. This is the whistle-stop memoir of how a lower-middle-class girl from the north of England one day changed the way she lived her life and set off on a bumpy path that ultimately led her to her own slice of the happily-ever-after pie.Yes, it was completely over the top. Yes, it was utter madness. But it was absolutely [...]

  • 4.75-5 Stars “I have always had this fear that If I loved anything it would be taken away; even as an adult it seemed like I’d been conditioned to accept that it was just my lot I life, so I never let myself really feel for anyone or anything…until you.” **Sigh** I love you, Tudor North“I want to take you here against the wall, make you all mine, do you want that, Tash? Tell me you want that too.” I have huge smile on my face. Like, HUGE. Why you ask? Three reasons:One: This story fu [...]

  • 4 starsVery much enjoyed this. Tash and her gay best friend, Tink, move to Canada to start a new life, where she meets famous celebrity, Tudor North.Tudor was very complicated and moody to begin with, then half way in I felt he became a bit too lovey dovey.I know I could be everything to you. But its impossibleI loved the playful banter between the best friends and Tink's outrageous personality stole the show. They were over the top and sarcastic.I felt it dragged a bit in places but overall, ha [...]

  • I LOVEEEE THIS BOOK!!!!! Seriously, if you haven't read it!DO IT NOW!!!!!!Hillarious, sexy, feel good. Ah it's perfect. So this story starts off with Tasha coming home from being a teacher to her boyfriend screwing some girl in their house, yeah not very nice, and the worst part is he doesn't even stop while she yells at him, packs her stuff, and leaves. Jerk. So as she is walking thinking about her life and how she needs to change she runs into a Hobo who gives her some good advice about being h [...]

  • Jointly Reviewed on: totallybookedblog/2013/07/Jenny: Okay, I’m giggling just thinking back on some of the interactions and banter in Eternally North. Natasha and her best friend (who I want to go out partying with by the way!) the completely gawwwjuss Tink aka John were hilarious. What a pair they were. Constantly insulting one another…Tink for his over the top gay antics and Tash for her weight problem when she was younger. Sarcasm and insults dripped from every vein, they were all done in [...]

  • Welllllll, ummmm, I dont know what the hell is wrong with me! Not really anything wrong with this at all, honestly it is just me!This is really a cheeky, fun, quirkly romance with a good story and likeable characters. It is always fun to read about "blokes" and all the funny little language/localizations. Also, there is just pure fun when reading about a fun-loving, in-your-face, fairy gay man! Natasha Munro and her bff "Tink" take Canada by storm when they finally leave their lackluster lives i [...]

  • Maybe this is my fault. I set my expectations too high after reading her "Sweet" series. I got used to her tactful, heartwarming, gutting romances and this just fell flat.Okay, that's not even correct. It fell on the bumpy intersection between dislike road and "what the hell am I reading" boulevard.First, Natasha. Or Tash. I didn't like her. I like myself some "in-your-face" heroines once in a while (see "A is for Alpha male"). They're usually hilarious and funny to read about. But Tash her name [...]

  • I knew from the time I opened page 1 of Eternally North, by Tillie Cole, that I was just going to love this book!!!!And I was absolutely right….is book……………So what’s this well-written, hilarious, entertaining and sweet story all about? Apart from the insane English wit and beyond quirky characters………“This is the whistle-stop memoir of how a lower-middle-class girl from the north of England one day changed the way she lived her life and set off on a bumpy path that ultimatel [...]

  • 4 (Laugh out loud) STARSEternally North is hilarious, it has witty and funny dialogue, which makes you feel like your best friend is telling you a story, instead of you reading a bookThis is my second Cole book, I read her biker, serious book and so I was really shocked on how LIGHT and FUNNY Eternally North is. It kind of reminds me of Tangled by Emma Chase, just witty and fun dialogue that keeps everything moving forward. The book starts with Natasha telling you her story. She’s a school teac [...]

  • I was excited to read this book. After all, it features an overweight heroine who has been done wrong by her douche-bag boyfriend, who has a flamboyantly gay BFF and who falls in love with a mountainous, muscle-bound, tattooed, brooding, secretive, action movie-star.C'mon, that's GOLD!After a few chapters I started to worry that maybe I had got myself into some straight-up chick-lit. Chick-lit that was going to be heavy on the funny and light on the romance. The laughs were abundant, the story i [...]

  • I actually don't know how to review this book. I think this is the lightest story from Tillie Cole, so far. I mean, Sweet Home wasn't really dark, but there was constant heavy drama going on, especially with Rome's family. Eternally North was fullof light, funny moments, courtesy of the very gay and very happy best friend, John aka Tink. I have to be honest here and say that while I absolutely adore Tillie Cole and worship every book she's ever published, Eternally North is sadly my least favori [...]

  • I will first start off by saying I am a true Bostonian…d I have the accent to prove it. That being said, I COULD NOT help but read this book with an English accent that I had a very hard time dropping once real life intruded in the last three days! I need to state that I wish that the author, Tillie Cole lived in my neck of the woods because I have no doubt that she must be a complete and utter friggen blast to hang with because her humor in infectious! From the moment I started this book I wa [...]

  • 5 DIMPLEY DAZZLING STARS!!!I've got the euphoric feeling that comes after finishing an amazing book!Okay, I loved this book, from 10% in it just got better and better and better!!Then 53% it catapulted into the stratosphere even got a little fluttering in my belly.I oooood and ahhhhd and laughed and cried, a buffet of emotions that I devoured.I love an intense attraction/connection and this book had it going on big time!!

  • Absolutely brilliant! Wasn't sure what I was in for when I started this novel but a couple of chapters in - I was hooked. "Eternally North" is a smashingly well-written novel with the most engaging and loveable characters. Seriously, I wish I had my very own Tink - the most fabulous best friend any woman could have. The witty banter, catch phrases and whatever else Tash and Tink toss between them was hilarious. While this is a con-rom novel, I loved the relationship between Tash and Tink; their [...]

  • 5/5 SLUT DROPPPSPPSPSPSPPPSSSS WHEW where to start with this one!! There's just so many ways to open with this, other than a lame summary you could just directly read from the blurb on the book page (don't be offended, I also open reviews with a small summaries too, that comment was super hypocritical on my part)Let me just start off by saying this. The characters in this book reminded me of a light, humorous versions of James, Stephan, and Bianca from In Flight. The story lines are completely d [...]

  • This was laugh out loud funny, with an insane cast of characters that I couldn't help but love. Yet, it wasn't trying too hard to be funny and the emotions were genuine. I loved the inner monologue that was Tash along with the words that actually escaped her mouth. Tink, the glitter loving gay best friend was - wellere are just no words that can do him justice. And finally Tudor, the brooding movie star. Tattooed, confusing, and 100% loveable. If you love a good movie star romance written with a [...]

  • 3.5-4 Twinkle Bacon StarsI was originally going to only rate this 3 stars, but then I remembered how awesome Tink and Tash were as characters. In fact, I think their friendship and their accompanying dialogue were my favorite aspects of the book. I wish I had been a member of their rejected and bullied club growing up. Outside of that though, as far as Tash's relationship with Tudor was concerned, I felt like it was kind of an insta-love situation (which I am not against by any means) but I wasn [...]

  • The beginning of this read like a chick-lit novel and although it was funny, it was a bit silly too. Tink, the main character's gay bff is every gay stereotype you could ever imagine in one character and it was all a little too far removed from reality to be plausible and I wasn't sure whether this was for me. That quickly changed as soon as Tudor North - huge hulking, tatted film star - came into the story. From that point I was hooked. It followed a friends to lovers type plot, one of my favour [...]

  • I was reading this book while I was on vacation with a friend and I found it pretty amazing. I'm really glad I've read it. I just came back so I have a couple of reviews to write and unfortunately I'm not really in the mood of writing a big paragraph about the story and the plot considering I'm also captivated by another book I'm currently reading and I'm in a hurry to get back to it. So anyway in a few words: I loved it! I really enjoyed the romance and the funny characters. They were pretty gr [...]

  • ¡Lo terminé! ¡Wujuuuuu!

  • 3.5 Silly Stars for a pretty British Rom-ComI enjoyed this Rom-Com somewhat, it was odd, quirky and had a pretty misfit bunch of characters. Natasha is a chav, Gerordie, full make-up, false tan and eyelashes, curvy, tall, crass, loud, out-spoken, ditzy but intelligent, lovable, brave and witty. I felt like it was a story about Vin Disel falling for Eastender's Kat Slater. The funny was funny, but not LOL for me. A few LOL's and I would have given it a 4 star rating.

  • What an awesome read for me. It had an outrageously funny side kick, a mystery of a secret, an emotionally tormented alpha hero, and a smart, funny, take no crap curvy heroine. It taught me a new word, (view spoiler)[camp (hide spoiler)], which I will now use often. So, this book had it all for me including, (view spoiler)[an over his shoulder fireman’s hold, with a sweet smack on the arse (hide spoiler)], making it the best read for me this year.

  • This book was light and fun. It had me laughing my ass off quite a bit. It was sweet and swoony and romantic. One of my favorite Actor romances. The hero was just awesome and the heroine was someone that any girl could relate to. I would love to read more from these two! I am dying for a swoonworthy epilogue. I truly enjoyed this book!
