    About " Adrienne Wilder "

  • Adrienne Wilder

Georgia born and bred, I am an artist, a writer, and a general pain in the ass I spend most of my days working on my next book or designing cover art for other writers For stress relief I do olympic lifting and occasionally run but hate it I have been in love with writing since I was very young but it wasn t until recently that I decided to pursue it as a profession I have experimented in several genres and found that since I identify as male, male romance has been the most comfortable for me to write I don t discriminate in my books All characters are fair game I do however, prefer a happy ending at some level I don t write the standard romance book Some might even argue that what I write isn t romance at all Personally I think of them as love stories, where even in a fantastical world, there are realistic outcomes to the obstacles the characters face Many of my books have dark turns and twists where the characters fight for the light at the end of the tunnel I write action, fist fights, gun fights, down right dirty evil people who have to be stopped, things catch fire, blow up, and fall in My characters come in a unique range They are not all good guys, but the majority of them have very good hearts Many of them have been through hell in their lives, and many of them have a laundry list of faults But hopefully they manage to surprise you with their tenacity and loyalty If all goes well, there will be a myriad of different kinds of books available this year If I am really lucky, you will enjoy them.

  • 4.5 starsNow we're really getting into itThis series gets better and then betterer. I am loving the world and all the new surprises. Pete is different now a little more dangerousDarwin is still awesome, I've said this before, his voice is so unique, funny, caustic, smart, hard at times but his love for Peter makes him so vulnerable. And HOLY MOLY they are SO HOT togetherLoving Adrienne's Atlanta and looking forward to what's next.

  • "No more secrets"Darwin and Peter promise it Peter said it"No more secrets"and of course neither of them will keep their promisesMuch more serious than the previous books of the serie. Peter is still fighting to keep his heart and his feelings unchanged, to keep his (view spoiler)[humanity (hide spoiler)].Darwin is doing everything he can to help Peter, and certainly it's not a easy task But he don't care. No Kin (aka, a Dragon) or a Lesser-Breed can separate him from his lover.Great book, and m [...]

  • I laughed quite a bit with this installment of the Darwin’s Theory series. Darwin’s happier here than with the previous two book. He is still in love with Peter to the point that it is almost an obsession, but he’s happily in love. Peter is happy too, though he is also scared of the changes that his body is about to undergo with him Becoming Lesser-Bred. They are not taking the precautions they should be taking in preparing for Peters Shift. This adds some exciting drama to story. The rea [...]

  • This series gets more and more interesting with each episode. These two are just so cute! More thrilling action, more love, more declarations of eternal devotion. At first I didn't understand why Peter loved Darwin so much when he seemed to have it so together, but this episode revealed more about how Peter has issues, too. It's so cute how self-deprecating Darwin is and how he has Peter on a pedestal and that's what keeps him sane.

  • Groundwork and slowing going, but some tasty tidbits thrown in. I thought we'd get further in this episode then we did, but the housekeeping storyline took a different track of approach then I expected. Come on Shift.

  • This was a great addition to the series, just enough of my questions were answered to keep me satisfied, and I love the fascinating new questions that were raised. (view spoiler)[How Darwin "felt" where to find Peter, for example, or how he set himself on fire I can't wait to see where those lead! (hide spoiler)]I definitely felt like I got to know both the world and the characters better in this one, and I loved that. Darwin and Peter are definitely a fantastic couple. It's so refreshing to rea [...]

  • I think these books are going to be the death of me! As the story builds up, it ends! That being said, I am really enjoying this series. I really love Darwin and his 'just as I am' attitude and his utter devotion to Peter. The fantasy/paranormal component of the story is beginning to come together, and I am definately intrigued to see where it goes and what more this world has to offer. We'll just have to see if I maintain my sanity as I wait for the next book.

  • Peter is going through the changing process and takes a bite out of his beloved Darwin. Scared and volatile, Peter calls Whitcomb who kidnaps Peter. Darwin finds Peter missing and goes nuts tracking him down. Once the guys are safely hidden in The Zone, Peter reveals his most shocking secret.

  • I'm loosing interesting in this story. Those kind of plotted short novellas, where each part ends with loose end and incomplete, show a lot about a writer which is nothing good in my book. Anyway this plot is heading into a direction which isn't good at all, for me it's annoying and idiotic.

  • This was just as good as book 1 and 2. I really enjoyed reading it. No changes on my impression about the characters, which is great, because I expect a character to remain the same all along the series, maybe some personal growth would be ok, but I liked them the way they are right now. Not so much advance in the relationship on this instalment but enough emotions to make it appealing and even cute at times. I love the tender moments they share, sometimes I think they could be out of character [...]

  • What a great story, well written and flowed along great. I have to say I loved the style of this author which pulled me into the story right from page one.Darwin is a regular guy living in what seems like a normal world but his life is anything but normal. There are 5 books to this series that I read within a couple of days I was so hooked. And I'm happy to see there is now a novel to follow these 5 books, which I intend to start reading right away.Great job! Keep up the great story!

  • I really want to kick Darwin. He's TSTL at times. My official review is now available.Impulse control, use it, Darwin! Although really, I want to call him Dar-DIM. In the third installment of this series, we learn more about why Peter is in such hot demand. Still no Kin showing up in the book but the evil Serge makes another appearance. She's in league with Peter's abductors. Thankfully, Darwin is able to bullshit his way for a daring rescue.Darwin is once again a loathsome person. I didn't thin [...]

  • I love the little twists and turns this story is taking. I might have some small personal nitpicks with a couple of things within but this is a solid 4 stars.(view spoiler)[Secret military funding, the answer to understanding the transition to Lesser-Breds. Kidnapping. Declarations of undying love. Hot sex scenes. But what stood out to me was one small scene that captured all my interest. D catching fire? I was immediately thinking of a different type of Becoming Lesser-Bred or becoming Kin. Or [...]

  • This book Three in the series is really good!It follows Peter and Darwin after Peter lost his metaphysical scholarship AND they discovered that is becoming a lesser-bred and is actually on the verge of shifting.Lesser-breds have physical needs a human cannot satisfy. They NEED meat, lots of meat, and their animal side can't care whether it is human flesh or animal flesh. So, by staying with Peter, Darwin really puts his life in danger, especially if the does not rush to the Gray Zone (the lesser [...]

  • The more I read these stories, the more in love I am with Darwin. He is the one telling the story and he is so sarcastic and cockyI love it! He makes me laugh. I guess that I might think he was an asshole, if it weren't for his unshakable, unquestioning, unconditional love for Peter. It is so beautiful. Oh, to be loved like that. My only complaint with these stories is that they are just a couple of chapters being spoon-fed to us (the reader). I really don't like WIPs; I would rather wait until [...]

  • I think this series, for me, would have had more impact if it were one book instead of five. The plotting does pick up a bit here but I still find myself skimming all the extra stuff and just reading the dialogue in quotations. Also Peter keeping stuff from Darwin is getting on my nerves. I guess this is just a plot device is drag the story out. Since I already have all the books, I'll keep reading. Good thing they're relatively short.

  • The story between Darwin and Pete was bittersweet like in the former books. The reason why I can give it 4 stars is, that Darwins language isn´t that hard any more and I would have liked it more, if he stayed more like himself.Anyway it was nice to see the development in Darwins and Petes relationship and how Darwin got his new "abilities".

  • 4.5 stars. Very good short paranormal m/m romance in which Peter is becoming dangerous to Darwin, but other dangers abound as well.
