  • I forgot I read this. I l.o.v.e.d these stories, I used to read this particular story every evening and I still remember how I asked my dad to read it to me, because it was so rhythmical and in rhyme, with this great message. I so often use that expression: Ide vrijeme, dođe rok, eto vraga skok na skok. Postolar i vragBio jednom postolar,Pošten čovjek al' već star:Mnogo djece mnogo treba,A u kući nema hljeba;A djeca sve viču "kruha!"Otkud kruha? Nužda 'e gluha.Šije starac cijele noći,Š [...]

  • HRV: Mrzila sam ovu knjigu kada sam ju trebala čitati za školu, a ni sada mi ne stoji u ništa boljem sjećanju. Imala sam velikih teškoća čitajući ju i smatram da je u tim godinama kada ju trebamo pročitati jednostavno nismo u stanju cijeniti.ENG: I hated this book so much when I had to read it for school and, honestly, I still hate it. I had a lot of problems with reading it and I just think that, at the age when we are forced to read it, we're just not capable of appreciating it.

  • Although the biggest problem here is understanding of language, the stories are great. The author is well connected folk folklore and the time in which he lived. He probably did not expect that we will also do the same today.

  • Its not very good. Its very boring, but its a book everyone had read. August Šenoa isn't reay the author I like, but he did brough a lot to croatian lithereture.
