  • I'll admit, I like Sentry. Sure he's a superman copy, but he's basically a Superman who can't control his own thoughts but can be a good person but not all the time. OH yeah, and he can manhandle all the avengers, F4, x-men and more. This volume really focuses on Sentry. There's short story at the start to show the New Avengers handle one of the escape convicts. It's fun and exciting and gives time for Luke Cage and Spider-woman (So sexy) to kick ass and shine. Bu then the whole team goes after [...]

  • I enjoyed this much more than Breakout. In fact, I enjoyed it so much more that I will probably have to go back and relook Breakout, perhaps I was just having a bad day. As the title suggests, this story deals primarily with Sentry who featured rather spectacularly in Breakout as well. My reading experience seems to have been the exact opposite of other readers, with most enjoying the first book more and the second book less. Perhaps it’s because I’m used to reading a lot of DC graphic novel [...]

  • In my review of Volume 1, I said I would keep reading "just to see how the group evolves and how they resolve the Sentry plot-line." Well Volume 2 is one for two by those standards. There is a great resolution to the Sentry plot line. I think it is one of the most imaginative hero/origin stories I have ever read. But there is no evolution of the New Avengers, there is actually very little time spent with them. Why is that? Mostly because of this:That's right -- Namor, The Fantastic Four, The X-M [...]

  • Meta level shit. Finally got some answers about the Sentrybut still confused as fuck. Also more Illuminati meetings, secrets being kept, etc.Oh and one gigantic awesome panel with the FF, Avengers, X-Men, Inhumans and Strange and NamorI like how the explanation of helping Sentry wasn't just needing a Thor, but that Wanda and what happened to the Avengers before could've been helped if they'd tried harder to help her.Dynamics starting to work, and I also see the seeds of discord between Tony and S [...]

  • 3.5 starsEnjoyed this volume 2. The story is interesting and the art is good. The only reason I didn't like this as much as the previous volume was the lack of focus on the actual team. So many random Marvel heroes had cameos in this.

  • Interesting look at how the Sentry got to be so nutty. I thought the 'comic book within a comic book' thing was pretty coo, too. Honestly, I didn't read the bios in the back of the book, though.

  • The New Avengers by Bendis is hitting on all cylinders. The newly formed Avengers are trying to recruit, and help at the same time, Robert Reynolds, aka Sentry. I have enjoyed the Sentry every time I've run into him. His tremendous power coupled with his alter-ego the Void make him a fascinating version of Superman. In this series we get many of the answers about the mysterious Sentry. In their attempts to use the Sentry, the Avengers decide to try to help him with the problems with the Void. A l [...]

  • The New Avengers continued to pursue Raft escapees and fans met the Illuminati, a secret group including Iron Man, Mister Fantastic, Doctor Strange, Professor X, Black Bolt and Sub-Mariner, that covertly helped guide events in the Marvel Universe. They wrestled with the conundrum of the Sentry, a powerful hero none of them could remember. Eventually, the Fantastic Four, X-Men and Inhumans joined the Avengers to help unravel part of the answer, which amounted to a complicated mind hack.Bendis con [...]

  • I fascinated by what they did with The Sentry, and I really enjoyed this story. I feel so sorry for the poor guy! Nice to get a happy ending For now at least!I'm also loving the New Avengers as a group, they've got a bit more edge to them and are a bit scrappier! The little bit with Spider-woman's pheromones made me laugh. There were a few unfortunate/gross poses and butt shots of her in her costume though.

  • I liked it, a decent read. I will continue with this series at least until the Civil War, then see if the story degrades in quality after that.

  • Guest stars. The wrecking crew. X-men. FF. Inhumans. Illuminati. Meanwhile The Sentry Story unravels. And Iron Man talks Wolverine into joining.

  • Emma Frost sahneleri favorilerimde ancak çok kısaydı yahu ! Bide Sentry odaklı olması hikayeyi kısmış. 3.5

  • Sentry's story which is a character I don't have much experience with. Also lessons on how to defeat a nearly omnipotent being.

  • I've got to be honest and admit I wasn't crazy about the Sentry when he was introduced. If you are going to create a new character, that's all well and good, but why create one and feel it's necessary to retroactively make him this iconic character who was central to much of the Marvel timeline. Maybe it was because my introduction to him was during the Dark Reign 'event' and he just seemed to be such an unsympathetic jerk, among a group of unsympathetic characters. I feel bad about it as he was [...]

  • Just okayThe New Avengers is full of nice colors and eye pleasing art. I found the story just okay. A big time superhero no one remembers and a bunch of escaped bad guys that never really get hunted are the main punchline of the story and fails to excite. So it's just okay

  • Sentry aint no supermanI've always thought that sentry is a weird rip-off of Superman. Not after this one. Includes one cheesy scene. Could have been 5/5. Some eerie mystery can be read in the subtext.

  • Total pussyI choose this waiting because of face bigger.😈😈😇😇😈😦😷😦😧😮😶😶😅😷😴😝😮😜😷😢😢😶😢😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😷🎩Yifhgkfyfktfkhchtfcnfh b Benn is j an Jen Annan Jenkins Jensen nonsense wins. Jeans wins. Wins s WiFi d nd is so Jen wins

  • Hard to know what to make of the Sentry - hero or illusion? Man or myth? Person or deception? The puzzle is neither simple nor meaningless, and though it plays with superhero cliche, it uses the themes in new and interesting ways.

  • All talk, no action. What little action there is is happening Out There while we're stuck In Here. Also I'm not a fan of this artwork. Who did this? I don't care. All I know is the artist is obsessed with two things: Groups heroic poses and women's asses.

  • Is a person or a constructed or.It was a very good book if you like the avenger and things like that I really recommend it .

  • Good titleEnjoying expanding my marvel comic reading with kindle unlimited. Loving bendis's new avengers series. want to know what happens next!

  • I wish there was more team building and character focus in this volume. It seems to be building up to an interesting plot, but as this is my first real exposure to a number of these characters and I don't feel a very strong connection to them.

  • So I’m going through a lot of comic books lately and surprisingly there are very few typical superhero story-lines mixed in there. I’m sort of blaming it on this series right now, because even though I’ve only read 10 issues of it and it has a ton more I feel like it’s boring. Superheros and supervillians should never be pair with boring, it just don’t make sense. The first volume was decent enough for a start and it had a lot of promise to be big, to sort of live up to big things like [...]
